Tales of vesperia review

Tales of Vesperia is a strong anime-style Japanese RPG with a wide-ranging story, compelling characters and an intense real-time battle system that keeps you on your toes. Although it has a somewhat inconsistent visual style and is relatively low on graphical details, the character designs and animations are very good, and there’s a ton to explore in the world. The storyline isn’t breaking any new ground and begins to unravel somewhat at the end, but there’s power here, and the characters will definitely stay with you after the battle ends.

Xbox Live’s Top 10: 8/11 – 8/17

August 20, 2008 – Halo 3’s resurgence was short lived. This week’s list of the most played Xbox 360 has Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4 back in the driver’s seat, beating out rivals Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV once again. Also popping on to the list at the tenth spot is the Fable II Pub Games. There are either going to be a lot of rich or a lot of poor heroes in Albion when Fable II releases later this year.

Though Fable II Pub Games was the most played Xbox Live Arcade game last week, it wasn’t the most purchased. That distinction goes to Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Capcom’s stellar remake of the classic. The Pub Games came in at number two, though we all hope that number counts preorder giveaways.

The Top Live Titles list, as reported by Major Nelson, ranks unique users playing Xbox 360 games while connected to Live. The Top Arcade Titles list is based on the number of full versions sold in a given week.

GC 2008: FIFA 09 To Be Updated Weekly service will cost money

August 20, 2008 – EA announced today that FIFA 09, much like NBA Live 09, will be updated constantly with ratings and performance data in a system known as the adidas Live Season.

Unlike NBA Live 09, which updates daily, FIFA 09 will update on a weekly basis. The updated data will be available for England’s Premiership, Spain’s La Liga, France’s Ligue 1, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, and Mexico’s Primera Division. The updates will be made available for PS3, 360, and the PC.

EA promises that a “global network of scouts” will be monitoring players in their respective leagues and adjusting attributes on a weekly basis; what’s interesting, though, is that the service might have a fee. EA notes that gamers “…will have access to one league of their choice for a free trial from the moment they activate it to the end of the 2008-2009 season”, which certainly implies that receiving updates for all leagues would incur fees.

In addition, EA also announced that they’d acquired an exclusive licensing agreement with Spain’s La Liga to implement their teams and players in their games.

The credit for this posts dosnt go to me but to jason ocampo of ign

It was bound to happen sooner or later; having seen Call of Duty: World at War about three or four times now, Activision finally let us have a chance to actually play the game, a World War II shooter built on the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine. We got a taste of two-player co-op in the Pacific (the game supports up to four-player co-op in the campaign) as well as some Russian-themed competitive co-op.
